Betsy And the Girls at the May family visit
The His Home 300 is a 300 mile bicycle ride from Joliet, Illinois to Lima, Ohio. This ride is to raise money for His Home For Children, an orphanage located in Port Au Prince, Haiti. At this time there is over 130 kids living at the orphanage. Hal and Chris Nungester, originally from Lima are the missionaries in Haiti that run the orphanage. There are many needs and funds that are needed to raise these children.
My wife, Betsy, and I are currently in the process of adopting two sisters Videline and Barbara. Lord willing they will be home with us forever sometime in the next year to 18 months.
I will be riding this 300 miles, leaving the Joliet area June 21st and arriving in Lima at the home Church for Hal and Chris on June 26th. We are currently looking for sponsorship to benefit the orphanage. I have decided that my goal is to raise $4,000.00 for the orphanage.
